Glass Cork Pads and EVA Pads: Key Differences Explained

There are two types of protective pads commonly used in the deep processing of glass: cork pads and EVA pads. According to the production process and material, cork pads are divided into foam cork pads and adhesive cork pads, and EVA pads are also divided into EVA foam pads and EVA adhesive pads.

So, what is the difference between glass cork pads and EVA pads?

1. In terms of material, the hardness of cork and EVA of this type of pad is equivalent, and there is not much difference in actual use, and it can replace cork pads.
2. Cork is easy to shavings during use, while EVA does not shavings, which is very suitable for some companies that require high environmental cleanliness for glass processing.
3. In terms of the environmental protection of the material, cork is a natural wood material with strong environmental protection, while EVA belongs to rubber, which is not as environmentally friendly as cork. This is very strictly tested in some countries. There are certain limitations in the use of exported glass. High-quality EVA materials need to be selected, and the cost will be relatively increased.
