What is a glass gasket?
Glass gasket is a shockproof cushion product used for glass packaging. During the storage and transportation of glass, the use of gaskets can form a gap between two pieces of glass to avoid direct contact between the glass. The softness and cushioning of the gasket can reduce the friction between the glass and prevent the glass from being scratched. At the same time, the space formed by the gasket can also reduce problems such as mold and cracking, and play an important protective role for the glass.
Classification of glass gaskets
- According to the structure, it can be divided into adhesive gaskets and foam gaskets
Foam gaskets: cork/rubber (EVA) + foam, also known as self-adhesive gaskets, the surface of the foam is “electrostatically adsorbed” on the glass surface, easy to stick and tear, leaving no traces or residues.
Glue gaskets: cork/rubber (EVA) + removable glue + white or yellow release paper, the removable glue is pasted on the glass surface, it is recommended to be used for glass with packaging protective film (non-functional coating). - According to the material, it can be divided into: cork gasket, EVA (rubber) gasket
Common specifications: 15mm×15mm, 18mm×18mm
Common thickness: (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm) + 1mm foam
